Mr X Body Was Found by The Owner of Karamba in Setokok Island, Batam

TRIBUNBATAM.id - Residents of Setokok Urban Village, Bulang Subdistrict were shocked by the discovery of an unidentified male corpse or Mr X who was swept away by ocean currents, Friday (10/25/2019) around 10:00 WIB.

The body that has not been identified is first known by the owner of the keramba, Viktor in Setokok.

"At first I thought that whatever carcass was washed away. But when it closed, turned out to be a human corpse," Viktor said.

He also said he immediately captured the corpse and brought ashore.

"I just tied it up, afraid of being swept away by the current," said Viktor.

He also said, immediately told the discovery to other residents.

"There were residents who contacted the police," Viktor said.

Regarding the discovery of corpse, Batuaji Police Chief Commissioner Syafruddin Dalimunthe, through Batuaji Criminal Police Headquarters Iptu Melki Sihombing, said, the condition of corpse was bloated and no body was found in the identity.

"Mr. X's body, we are still waiting for identification," Melki said.

He also said, for further investigation, the body had been taken by the identification team to Riau Islands Police Bhayangkara Hospital.

"His body has been brought. Identification. We are still waiting for the results of identification," Melki said.
