Batam Bintan Bridge Will Be Built Soon, Become Jokowi's Infrastructure Project

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The latest news from Batam Bintan Bridge project, President Jokowi included it in the central government infrastructure project.

Certainty of Batam Bintan Bridge project into President Jokowi's infrastructure project was discovered after Acting Kepri Governor Isdianto met with Minister of National Development Planning Suharso Manoarfa in Batam.

"Alhamdulillah. From the discussion earlier, Minister said that President Jokowi's infrastructure project for Riau Islands, namely the construction of Babin Bridge, continues and is included in the central government's infrastructure development agenda.

Currently waiting for the completion of study phase that has entered Engineering Design (DED) or Physical Planning Project.

We hope that this year will be finished in 2019, "said Isdianto after meeting Minister Suharso at Sri Rejeki Restaurant, Batam, Sunday (10/27).

Isdianto met with Minister after Suharso attended DPW PPP Riau Islands Regional Office.

The meeting was indeed to ensure and remind plan to build Batam-Bintan bridge under the leadership of President Joko Widodo and Vice President KH Ma'ruf Amin.

On that occasion, Isdianto again reminded Suharso of Jokowi promise during a campaign in Batam, early last April, namely to immediately realize the construction of Batam Bintan Bridge.

In a rough count, continued Isdianto, this project would cost around IDR 3-4 trillion.

The funds will be allocated in 2020 budget and 2021 projects are already running.

In addition to Batam-Bintan bridge, Isdianto hopes for development support from Minister of BPN / Bapennas Suharso.

For this reason, Isdianto asked for a special time to meet with inviting Mayor / Regent and several Heads of OPD (Regional Apparatus Organizations) throughout Riau Islands.

Isdianto hopes that the attention of Jokowi-Ma'ruf government will increasingly be paid to Riau Islands.

Moreover,  Riau Islands are bordered by many neighboring countries.

The progress of Riau Islands is also national pride.
