Calculation of this number, based on a survey of Decent Living Needs (KHL) in Batam, plus other factors.
The union considers that the calculation of wage adjustments should be based on the respective regional KHL, inflation and regional PDRB as stipulated in articles 88 and 89 of Law No.13 / 2003 on Manpower.
If it refers to the amount of 8.51 percent, Batam's UMK next year will be at Rp 4.1 million.
Especially if the reference is 10-15 percent.
The estimated UMK Batam next year could reach Rp 4.6 million.
Alfitoni said, one of the 10-15 percent increase factor was due to the increase in BPJS Health fees.
According to Alfitoni, if the government does not increase BPJS Health contributions by 100 percent next year, the 8.51 percent benchmark might still be used.
The Batam UMK 2020 discussion meeting a few days ago, had the agenda of presenting a circular of the Menaker regarding the amount of the UMK 2020 wage increase according to PP No. 78/2015.
