Handling Water Hyacinth in Batam are Technical and Mechanical, Cleaning Process Take 4 Years

There are four harvester devices deployed to handle water hyacinth that have filled 1,200 hectares of about 1,800 hectares of lake area.

Cleaning also takes up to 4 years.

Considering the rapid growth of water hyacinth.

While in Duriangkang Dam, Batam, water hyacinths meet 180 hectares of 2,000 hectares in dam area.

"Do not let Duriangkang Dam which this year is 180 hectares (water hyacinth), next year it will double.

Considering 70 percent of water sources needed in Batam come from Dam Duriangkan.
