TRIBUNBATAM.id - Riau Islands Provincial Government officially issued a Decree of the Governor of the Riau Islands in setting the 2020 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP).
Decree No. 965 of 2019 decided that the amount of the Riau Islands UMP was Rp 3,005,460.
As for the 2020 City Minimum Wage (UMK) in Batam, it is scheduled to be set to a maximum of the third week of November 2019.
UMP 2020 Riau Islands, will then be a reference for 6 other administrative regions in this Malacca Strait archipelago.
This was stated by the Ad-interim Governor of Riau Islands through the Head of the Manpower Department (Disnaker) of the Riau Islands Province, Tagor Napitupulu.

"As for workers with tenure above one year, an increase is made through collective bargaining between employers and workers in the best way according to the structure and scale of wages that have been imposed by the company," he said.
In addition, in the decision, for companies that have given Wages higher than the stipulated UMP, it is not justified to reduce the amount of the rupiah.
