120 Animal Activists Gathering in Taman Safari Lagoi, 50 Indonesian Conservation Institutions Joined
120 participants from 50 animal conservation organizations both managing zoos and safaris throughout Indonesia gathered at Lagoi Safari in Bintan.
TRIBUNBATAM.id - A total of 120 participants from 50 animal conservation organizations both managing zoos and safaris throughout Indonesia gathered at Lagoi Safari, Lagoi Tourism Area, Bintan.
Activities in the context of national coordination meeting (Rakornas) of Indonesian Zoo Association (PKBSI) take place from 29 October to 2 November 2019.
PKBSI Chairperson, Rahmat Shah, on the sidelines of activity said, in his national coordination, he perfected various programs that were carried out by training "bird husbandry in captivity" to its members by presenting international expert instructors.

"The National Coordination Meeting is also a gathering place, sharing good experiences so that in the future preservation of wildlife, zoos and safaris will be the last stronghold of Indonesia's endemic animal fortifications," he said, Friday (01/11/2019).
He also said, the choice of Lagoi safari area as the host of 2019 PKBSI National Coordination Meeting so that members could see first-hand one of the wildlife concert areas, the safari park, was the only one in Riau Islands Province.
Moreover, this lagoi safari park also has a collection of endemic Indonesian animals that are fairly complete and new.
In fact, the participants also wanted to get to know a number of tourist sites in Riau Islands to Bintan, and the impression of participants was very good.
Because tourism that is already quite famous is in accordance with what was informed, moreover the people are classified as friendly and polite.
The management of safari lagoi area is also quite good for preserving the endangered animals especially in Indonesia.
"Therefore, this opportunity is very suitable to be a place to exchange experiences in the management of conservation institutions, because conservation institutions are the last bastion of the preservation for endangered species, especially endemic Indonesia," he said.
He also said, praise for National Coordination Meeting held at Safari Lagoi because National Coordination Meeting participants could see animals that are fairly complete and new in the only animal conservation area in Riau Islands Province.
"Alhamdulillah, all of us are satisfied to see animals, eating here is also delicious and we also admire greening while maintaining the preservation of forests as lungs of the world," he said praising Bintan Lagoi safari park.
In the same place, PKBSI Secretary General, Tony Sumampau explained, on this occasion PKBSI declared an agreement, in which all members were expected to succeed in becoming President Joko Widodo's program.
"Namely to cut bureaucracy in the management of licensing and safari institutions to the transfer of animals or exchange is expected to run smoothly," he said.
He also added, that animal conservation institutions are not just recreational places.
But it also functions as a place to care for endangered animals of Indonesia and also government-owned day care for animals, or even animals that are captured enter villages or residential areas or animals that have lost their habitat. So, the preservation of animals is maintained and not extinct.
