More Honorary Than Civil Servants in Pemko Batam, Salary Budget Only Rp 17 Billion, Is it Enough?

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The number of honorary staff around the Batam City Government was highlighted by the Batam DPRD Commission I.

Batam City DPRD Commission I member, Utusan Sarumaha asserted, the current number of honorary staff is more than 6,300, and is very overloaded, exceeding the number of civil servants in Batam Government. 

According to him, the absorbed budget was not effective, the absorption was high, but only for the salaries of one agency.

This means that the welfare of honorary staff must be improved by giving them proper salaries. Minimum equivalent to the current UMK. 

He gave an example, for example the Batam City Satpol PP, currently there are 640 honorary staff there.

Of the Rp. 21 billion budgeted, as much as Rp. 17 billion was sucked up only for the needs of honorary staff for a year, including the salary.

That was only for one agency, namely in Satpol PP. 

Sarumaha wants, the number of honorary staff is streamlined, adjusted to the needs and increased welfare. 

The government has made maximum efforts so that in Batam get more CPNS receipts.
