TRIBUNBATAM.id - A total of 20 Small and Medium Enterprises (UKM) Chicken Noodle have succeeded in getting halal certification from the Jakarta Institute of Food, Drugs and Cosmetics Research Institute (LPPOM MUI) of DKI Jakarta.

The 20 chicken noodle UKM are fostered by Bogasari, which is incorporated in the Tunggalrasa Garamiro Noodle Association. 

Director of Indofood, Franciscus Welirang, said that the halal certification achievement in 20 UKM of chicken noodles was Bogasari's commitment to encourage the growth and development of flour-based food UKM.

"This is in accordance with Bogasari's partnership with UKM, namely "Tumbuh Bersama" (Growing Together), which has been formally carried out since 2002 through the Bogasari Mitra Card (BMC) program," Indofood Director Franciscus Welirang said in a press release on Tuesday (11/5/2019). 

The certificate was handed over directly by the Head of the Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH), Professor Sukoso, to the Chairman of the Tunggalrasa Garamiro Noodle Association, Pandiono and 19 UKM members of the association.

The handover was also witnessed directly by the Director of Indofood and Deputy Chief of Bogasari Division, and Senior Vice President of Commercial Bogasari.

The twenty chicken noodle UKMs include Agung Jaya wet Noodles, Unggul Noodles, Kabul Noodles, Cipta Rasa 1 Noodles, Barokah Noodles, Dwi Jaya Noodles, Katiyo Chicken Noodles, Restu Noodles, Barkah Langsam Lestari Noodles, and Sumber Jaya Chicken Noodles.

In addition, there are Sutarmin wet Noodles, Sukat Chicken Noodles, Darma Putra Lestari Noodles, Safrizal Noodles, Sunarno Noodles, Berdikari Noodles, Sutiman Noodles, Gajah Mungkur Noodles, Sinar Jaya Noodles, and Sumber Jaya Noodles. 

Franciscus said, all these UKMs are located around DKI Jakarta with diverse production, ranging from 30 Bogasari wheat flour or 750 kilograms per month to 1,200 zak or 30 tons flour per month. 

The total use of flour from 20 UKM is 135 tons of flour which can produce 162 tons of noodles. 

For information, the process of making halal certificates began in March 2019 with a total cost of Rp. 32.7 million.

The validity period of halal certificates is two years, from October 2, 2019 to October 1, 2021. (*)
