Pertamina's action follows because there is news that scarcity has occurred and it has already carried out an inspection.

In the inspection, he said, he even found that there were 2 bases which were proven to violate regulations.

"One base has been proven to distribute to retailers. The other is channeling to residents who are not in their area. So that both bases are subject to sanctions of reducing supply," said Roby.

He said, until August 2019, his party had distributed a total of more than 103 percent.

This means that there is an excess distribution of 3 percent above the quota.

For the Riau Islands there are 22 agents and 2,639 bases, after checking, there is no scarcity, he stressed.

Until now in the Batam area the HET is still Rp. 18 thousand rupiah per tube, so there is no increase, he said.
