4 Recent Facts about Bombs in Medan, There are 6 Victims till Explode in Parking Lot

TRIBUNBATAM.id - On Wednesday (11/13/2019) morning at 08.30 West Indonesian Time, a bomb exploded in the Mapolrestabes yard in Medan.

At least, 6 people were injured consisting of 5 police officers and 1 civilian.

Meanwhile, members of the Detachment 88 Anti-Terror and Inafis North Sumatra Regional Police are currently conducting the crime scene.

From the statement of the National Police Karopenmas Brigadier General (Pol) Dedi Prasetyo asserted, the police are still waiting for the results of investigations by field to uncover the facts behind the suicide bombing. 

Here are the latest facts of the bomb blast at Medan Police Station: 

1. Bombs explode in parking areas, not in the buildings

Dedi asserted, a bomb explosion suspected of suicide occurred in a parking lot, not inside Medan Police Headquarters.

At the same time, many residents were taking care of the SKCK documents. 

2. Suspected suicide bomber, Killed

Regarding the alleged condition of the perpetrators, Dedi confirmed the perpetrators died after carrying out the bomb attack.

As is known, Reported, a suicide bomb explosion occurred at the Medan Police Headquarters, North Sumatra, Wednesday (11/13/2019) morning. Perpetrators allegedly was one person who's wearing an online taxibike jacket. 

3. The number of victims was amounts to 6 people

The Head of the Public Relations Division of the Indonesian Police Headquarters, Inspector General Iqbal, confirmed that there were six temporary injuries during the bomb explosion in the Mapolrestabes parking lot in Medan.

The six people consisted of 5 members of the National Police and 1 civilian.

"Interim reports, no one was seriously injured," Iqbal said when confirmed via KompasTV, Wednesday (11/13/2019).

In addition, according to Iqbal, several police service vehicles were also damaged by the explosion. 

4. Police are still sweeping the location of the explosion

As reported by Kompas TV journalist report, Ferry Irawan, until now the police are still conducting the crime scene (TKP).

"The police are still looking for evidence of the perpetrators in the suicide bombing. Looking for pieces of evidence," Ferry said.

The crime scene was known to have been carried out by a joint team of the 88 National Police, Inafis and Gegana Detachment 88 Detachment Team.
