BP Batam and Pemko Now one Leadership, DPRD Encourages Government to Maximize the Potential of PAD

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Deputy Chairman of Batam City DPRD I, Muhammad Kamaluddin said the DPRD would encourage the Batam Government, through the Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) to explore the potential sources of revenue for the region. 

"This is to increase PAD," Kamaluddin said, Thursday (11/14/2019).

According to him, a number of revenue sectors that have considerable potential will be maximized.

Likewise, the potential that has not been exploited maximally will soon be optimized. 

Both the DPRD and OPD must work together to achieve the target.

"With the ex-officio Mayor of the Head of BP Batam, of course it will also affect. Making it easier to realize the potential for tax," he said. 

Kamal gave an example, the Building Land Acquisition Tax (BPHTB) Tax which has always been constrained by IPH at BP Batam.

But after the mayor of Batam served as chairman of BP Batam, of course IPH licensing will be easier and optimize BPHTB. 

After conducting discussions between the Batam DPRD Budget Board (Banggar) and the Local Government Budget Team (TAPD) of the Batam Government, the revenue potential is still very large. In order to sharpen the revenue sector, his party has already discussed with the relevant OPD. 

Furthermore, efforts are being made to maximize tapping boxes or transaction recording devices at a number of taxpayers.
