Batam City's 190th Anniversary, Era of The End of the Dualism Authority

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Batam City's 190th Anniversary will be commemorated on December 18, 2019.

Batam City, which is now 190 years old, has changed a lot.

Moment of Batam City Anniversary 2019 feels different from previous years because in this year BP Batam and Batam Government are led by one person.

Like two ships, BP Batam and Pemko Batam led by one captain namely Muhammad Rudi.

Batam City has an area of 960.25 km2 with a population of around 1.06 million.

As an industrial city, Batam City initially had two influential institutions namely BP Batam and Pemko Batam.

The Mayor of Batam, Rudi officially served as Head of the Batam Business Entity (BP).

Rudi was appointed as ex-officio Head of BP Batam at the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs in Jakarta, Friday (9/27/2019) night.

Rudi was inaugurated directly by the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Darmin Nasution in Jakarta.

Darmin Nasution also appointed Deputy Head of BP Batam and four deputies at BP Batam

Purwiyanto is again trusted as an official at BP Batam. He became Deputy Head of BP Batam.

While BP Batam's new Deputy I was reportedly held by Wahyu from the Ministry of Finance. 

Meanwhile Deputy II BP Batam, Enoh Suharto Pranoto who previously served as Secretary of the National Council for Special Economic Zones (KEK), Deputy III BP Batam, Prof. Sudirman, Professor of Hasanudin University (Unhas), and Deputy IV BP Batam, Gilarsi Wahyu Setijono previously served as Managing Director of PT Pos Indonesia.

A great task awaits the newly appointed officials, especially for the Mayor of Batam, Rudi. 

Darmin gave a message, with the presence of new officials, it was hoped that they could contribute to the maximum through increased investment.

The trick is to reduce investment barriers, especially those related to investment rules and licensing in Batam. 

Of course, with this increase, it is expected to increase economic growth in the Batam region.

Not only that, a number of elements of society have high hopes for Rudi in carrying out as the head of BP Batam. 

Like the task of Lukita Dinarsyah Tuwo, when he was appointed as the Head of BP Batam.
