Focus on Investment, BP Batam Budget Increases IDR 400 Billion to IDR 2,232 Trillion

TRIBUNBATAM.id - Head of BP Batam, H Muhammad Rudi held the first meeting with BP Batam officials to discuss BP Batam 2020 Strategic Plan (Renstra) on Tuesday (11/26/2019) at BP Batam Building, Batam Center.

Rudi who is also the Mayor of Batam said this meeting was held after BP Batam received DIPA (List of Budget Implementation Fines) from President Joko Widodo.

BP Batam got a budget of IDR 2,232 trillion, up about IDR 400 billion from the previous year, IDR 1.8 trillion.

Although the meeting lasted from morning to evening, Rudi could not yet specify what BP Batam would do in 2020.

The thing is, DIPA was prepared before he became Head of BP Batam.

"We will discuss later, also with new SOTK," said Rudi.

Based on Tribun observations, an internal meeting between Rudi, his deputies, and other BP Batam officials lasted from morning to evening.

Rudi exits BP Batam marketing room to the mosque.

"We will discuss it, but let's pray first," said Rudi.

Rudi said, the meeting was still long and could not be finished in a day.

The discussion only talk about the policies and four deputies task.

"Deputy 1 done, second deputy on half, most important deputy 3 and 4," said Rudi.

Rudi said, BP Batam 2020 Renstra requires further study.

For programs deemed inappropriate or overlapping with Batam Government, it will be shifted.

"We'll see tomorrow. I will move it, if I find that incorrect, "he said.

The important thing in the preparation of trategic Plan, said Rudi, BP Batam will focus on investment development.

Including investment support programs.

Including road construction, BP Batam will also take a role, but still to support investment.

"Task of BP in the future, how investment is developed. Investment development, starting from the shipyard industry, electronic industry, tourism industry and others. All will need infrastructure access. So BP will also build roads that support it," said Rudi.

For information, BP Batam's budget in 2019 is IDR 1.8 trillion.

From that budget, IDR 793,055 billion is a management support program and the implementation of technical tasks.

Then for the management and implementation program of Free Trade Zone and Batam Free Port of IDR 1,027 trillion.
