Anambas Islands Regent Abdul Haris meet Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Jakarta. 

TRIBUNBATAM.id - Anambas Islands Regent held a hearing with Director General of Information and Public Diplomacy, Cecep Herawan and Diar Nurbintoro who were representatives of Indonesian Ambassador to Hungary at Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

From the information compiled by TRIBUNBATAM.id, this hearing was held on December 2, 2019 in VIP meeting room at Ministry of Foreign Affairs Diplomacy Canteen.

At that time, Haris was accompanied by Head of Center for Collaboration Facilities, Secretariat General for Ministry of Home Affairs, Head of Economic and Cultural Section for Directorate General of Village Government Development in Ministry of Home Affairs, Head of Anambas DPRD, Assistant of Government and People's Welfare, Head of Education Department, Head of Governance Department, and Head of General Affairs and Finance of Anambas Islands Secretariat.

The meeting discussed about how to encourage optimization of sustainable development by mobilizing superior potentials that are strategic in the fields of tourism, fisheries, industry and development for human resources on international scale.

"Quite a lot of potential in various sectors of Anambas Islands has not been maximally exposed both in their own country and abroad. It is necessary to have support from central government, especially from Ministry of Foreign Affairs," said Haris.

He also revealed that Anambas Islands are located in strategic area, which is adjacent to neighboring countries.

Of course it is necessary to take advantage for establish cooperation.

"I hope Anambas Islands will be involved in Ministry of Foreign Affairs program, such as Island Development, investment promotion and cooperation," he explained.

He further said that currently there are approximately 132 representative offices from various countries in Indonesia.

"I want cooperation with foreign countries be established immediately. Moreover, in Anambas the tourism sector can be developed with more advanced innovations, of course we are ready to increase development better," said Haris.

Director General of Information and Public Diplomacy highly appreciates this.

"We really appreciate Mr. Haris along with the others for holding the hearing, and the results of this hearing will soon be followed up by forming a special Anambas acceleration team, of course it will not end here.
