TRIBUNBATAM.id - Today, Tuesday (12/17/2019), Batam is raining again.

Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Class I Hang Nadim Meteorology Station issued an early warning of weather and waves in Riau Islands region, Tuesday (12/17/2019).

Head of Data and Information BMKG Meteorology Station Class I Hang Nadim, Suratman said, the weather forecast conditions today experienced local to mild rain.

This was due to the high air humidity and wind (cycloneic) swirling around Natuna region causing an accumulation of air masses which increased the chance of forming rain clouds in Riau Islands region.

"In general, tomorrow's weather conditions are forecast to be cloudy and have potential to rain with mild to moderate intensity that can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds," he said.

The weather forecast for Batam City in the morning for air temperature is at 23 C and in the morning local rain with temperature of 25 C.

Therefore, we urge sea transportation and marine activities to be alerted of high waves in the waters of Bintan, Lingga, Natuna, Anambas and the potential for rain during the day and early morning.

"For road users have to be careful when crossing, potentially slippery road conditions and added long vehicle activity." he said. (Tribunbatam.id/bereslumbantobing)
