The Contractors Not Professional, Batam DPRD Member: Road Not Completed Yet been Damaged Again

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Member of Commission III of the Batam City Regional Representative Council (DPRD), Rohaizat, is highlighting the widening of the road worked on by the Batam City Government.

The reason is that the construction has not finished yet, but the road was already potholes and damaged again. 

"Due to rain, many roads that have just been built are now hollow again. Not finished yet, instead it has been damaged everywhere," Rohaizat said, Wednesday (12/18/2019).

He admitted, many of the roads were damaged, such as in Bengkong, Simpang Gelael, and so on.

With the damage, it is certainly very dangerous for road users and prone to accidents.

Rohaizat considered that if the planning in the construction of the road was not ripe, and this made the budget wasteful. 

The workmanship of the contractors is considered unprofessional. 

"Don't let our budget be wasteful. Moreover, this amount is quite large. We can see, there are many of streets in Batam that are in the process of being worked on," he said.
