Karimun Regional Police Ensure the Safety of Christmas and New Year in Karimun, Map 11 Prone Points

TRIBUNBATAM.id - A total of 284 members of the National Police were deployed in the security of Christmas and New Year in Karimun Regency.

In addition to the hundreds of police, Christmas security also involved the TNI, relevant agencies and a number of Community Organizations (CBOs) in Karimun.

The security in the 2019 Operation Candles begins with the title of troops in the Karimun Mapolres yard, Thursday (12/19/2019). 

"We also involve the TNI, both the Army, Navy, Pomad, Pomal and related agencies namely the Transportation Service, Jasa Raharja, the Health Service, Satpol PP, Mass Organizations and Scout children," said Karimun AKBP Police Chief Yos Guntur Fauris Yudi Santoso.

Yos Guntur said, the title of troops was an initial form of readiness in maintaining Security, Community Order (Kamtibmas) during Christmas and New Year. 

"This shows or informs the people of Karimun Regency about the readiness of the National Police in providing security," he said.

He stressed, the National Police is ready to guarantee security, tranquility, peace in the celebration of Christmas and the 2020 New Year.

While from the Karimun Regional Police mapping, there were 11 points of vulnerability which were the main objects in the security. Among them are places of worship, ports, terminals or airports, attractions and locations of the crowd. 

In terms of preventing Kamtibmas disturbance, Karimun Regional Police together with related agencies also established seven security posts and six service posts.

"We have mapped the posts, such as the posts in the area of vulnerability and the main place of worship are as many as 40 churches which are our main objects. Then the tourist attractions," explained Yos Guntur. (tribunbatam.id/elhadif putra)
