Despite Sunny Weather, BMKG Reminds Anambas Residents Beware of High Waves

TRIBUNBATAM.id - Although Anambas Islands Regency has been bright in the recent past, Class II Meteorology and Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) of Tarempa reminds residents to remain vigilant.

Previously, on the monitoring of TRIBUNBATAM.id, the waves were very high in Tarempa sea waters, now the wave height is slowly getting lower, only 0.5-1.5 in the southern part of  Anambas Islands, and 0.3-2.0 in the northern part of Anambas Islands.

"In general, the weather conditions in Anambas are predicted to be cloudy and local rain," Head of BMKG Class II Tarempa, Dudi Juhadinata, said via Whatsapp, Wednesday (12/25/2019).

However, he explained the presence of Phanfone tropical storm in Philippines led to the collection of air mass in the region.

So, the impact on the reduction for water vapor in Riau Islands region reduces the chance of forming rain clouds.

"We are still appealing for fishermen and anyone whose activities at sea to continue be careful when sailing," he explained.

The weather forecasts in 7 districts in Anambas Islands are cloudy with temperatures of 25-31 degrees Celsius, wind speed of 30 knots, and humidity of 70-95 percent. (Tribunbatam.id/Rahma Tika)
