China Tourists Come to Batam, Hang Nadim Airport Directly Sprayed By Disinfectants
Batam received hundreds of tourists from Shenzen who flew using Batik Air aircraft. Hang Nadim airport also increased vigilance of Corona virus spread
TRIBUNBATAM.id - The outbreak of Corona virus in China has alerted the whole country.
Because the virus appears two weeks before Chinese New Year, which is a long holiday in China.
Riau Islands Province and Batam City which are also splashed out by Chinese tourists have raised a high level of vigilance at some entrances, both airports and ports.
Moreover, Singapore which realy close from Batam has announced three cases of corona virus in the last two days, all of them Chinese tourists.
Batam itself, Thursday (1/23/2020) morning, received hundreds of tourists from Shenzen who flew directly from the industrial city using Batik Air aircraft.
Hang Nadim airport also increased vigilance.

In collaboration with Port Health Office (KKP), inspect all travelers using a geothermal detector or body temperature detector.
"This morning they arrived using Batik Air. There were five buses carrying them. All were scanned and all officers also used masks and gloves. The tourists also used masks since landing," said Tribun's sources at the airport.
Airport Business Entity Director (BUBU) Hang Nadim Batam Suwarso said the level of vigilance had indeed been increased since the spread of corona virus had increased.
Suwarso said, so far it is still safe and the tourists have not been detected. "It's still safe," he said.
Nevertheless, the tourists are still closely guarded.
A separate source, KKP doctor said that their travel agent was asked to continue monitor the condition of all travelers.
Agents are asked to take them to hospital immediately if there are symptoms of flu, such as fever, sore throat or shortness of breath.
"The case in Singapore is like that. When at the airport it is safe, but after being in hotel I feel a fever, "said KKP doctor.
Dian Sapta Rahayu, Head of Batam's KKP class 1 Environmental Risk Management Division stated that Batam is still safe, but vigilance is increased at all entrances.
