Buying goods from Batam will be more expensive than usual. This provision also applies to imported goods that leaving Batam.

- IDR 283,500 (price of goods) + IDR 21,262.5 (import duty) + IDR 30,550 (VAT) = IDR 335,312.5
As for textile products, bags and shoes, different tax rates are applied. For bags, shoes and textile products such as clothes, the tariff rates still follow the normal rates.
Import duties range from 15-20 percent for bags, 25-30 percent for shoes and 15-20 percent for textile products. This has not been added with 10 percent VAT and 7.5 percent Income Tax to 10 percent. (*)
