Concerned About Corona Virus, Batam Residents Bought Lot of Mask Supplies

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The emergence of Corona virus caused panic for residents in Batam.

Proven mask purchase jumped dramatically.

Mask sales at several minimarkets in Sagulung have been selling well since the Corona virus.

In fact, sales have increased in recent days, especially when the repatriation of Indonesian citizens from Wuhan, China to Indonesia, which is currently undergoing observation in Natuna islands.

In Indomaret Sagulung, Tiara, said that on Sunday (2/2/2020) the masks in their place of work were sold out from night to morning.

"Yesterday, after opening the shop, people bought them," Tiara said.

She said the mask supplies came back at the noon.

"Come at the afternoon, all supplies already sold out. All we were selling was ordinary masks, with five packages," she said.

She also mention, a package cost Rp 7,000 thousand. "The price did not go up, it remained that much, there was already a price label," she continued.

There were those who bought two to three packages.
