In the Presence of Entrepreneurs, Head of BP Batam Promises to Revise Perka Tariff and Port Services

TRIBUNBATAM.id -- The Batam Business Entity (BP) held a meeting with entrepreneurs from the Indonesian National Shipowners Association (INSA), at the Travelodge Hotel, Wednesday (11/3/2020).

In this meeting, Head of the Batam Business Entity (BP), Muhammad Rudi promised to accommodate the aspirations of port service entrepreneurs in Batam.

This facility will be provided through Perka changes related to ship activities in the port of Batuampar related to industrial raw materials.

One of them will be prepared by revision of BP Batam Head Regulation (Perka) Number 11 of 2018 concerning Port Tariffs and Services. 

Rudi hopes that BP Batam's policy to change the regulation will help entrepreneurs compete and rise as a result of the Corona virus

He admitted, activities at the port had decreased, because the loading and unloading activities from China did not exist.

So that many ship agents in the port stopped their activities. 

With this solution, it is expected that in the next two to three months the corona virus problem will be resolved.

So that the flow of trade in the city of Batam can return to normal.

This meeting also, said Rudi, was to address the impact of the Corona virus in Batam, by gathering  the businessman at ports such as shipyards, port document agents or ship owners. 

Rudi hopes that the newly issued of Perka will not be detrimental to employers or BP Batam, which is a port owner. 

In the same place, INSA Chairman of Batam City, Osman Hasyim welcomed the planned change of that Perka. 

Hopefully this Perka will provide convenience so that it can more optimally help the industry in Batam.
