Director of BP Batam Airport and Information and Communication Technology Business Entity Suwarso said the number of passengers dropped by 20 percent from the normal figure.
The reduced number of passengers also has an impact on reducing the frequency of flights.
Suwarso said there were usually 52 flights, both departing and arriving at Hang Nadim Airport.
Now, the number of flight frequencies drops to 30 flights per day.
