Only 849 People, Passengers Total at Batam Hang Nadim Airport Dropped Due to Corona Virus

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Covid-19 outbreak effect not only hit the health of the nation but has spread and paralyzed various sectors of life including the aviation industry sector.

Director of Batam Airport, Information and Communication Technology Business Agency, Suwarso said, the decrease in passengers passing through Batam's Hang Nadim Airport is increasingly felt.

"Passengers who depart and come continue to descend," said Suwarso, Monday, (4/13/2020).

Based on departure and arrival data at Batam's Hang Nadim Airport as of March 30, 2020, as many as 3,615 people came through the airport, while 4,918 people registered for departures.

On March 31, 2020 recorded at the arrival of Hang Nadim Airport Batam as many as 3,900 people while for the Departure 4,501 people.

On April 1, 2020 to arrive as many as 2,974 people who departed slightly increased by 4,742 people.

On April 2, 2020 the number of people who came to Batam via Hang Nadim Airport in Batam was 1.94 people while on departure as many as 2,966 people.

On April 3, 2020 there were 2,838 passengers on arrival while 3,535 were on departure.

For April 4, 2020 registered passengers were as many as 1,608 people while 2,206 were on departure.

On April 5, 2020 there were 2,478 people crossing the airport for departure as many as 3,515 people arrived at Nadim Batam airport.

Then on April 6, 2020 as many as 1,258 passengers passed through the arrival of Hang Nadim Airport in Batam.

Meanwhile, for the departure of 1,950 people.

Furthermore, on 7 April 2020 there were 1,132 people crossing Hang Nadim Airport Arrival to Departure as many as 1,940 people.

On April 8, 2020 there were 1,667 passengers arriving and departing 2,697 people.

On April 9 2020 passengers on Arrival were 1,162 people, for departure as many as 1,993 people.

For April 10, 2020 there were 1,569 passengers on arrival and leaving as many as 2,575 people.

While for April 11, 2020, it is said that Suwarso reached the lowest number in April, namely for the arrival of 849 people and 1,663 people in Departure were recorded.

Suwarso said that PSBB implementation in Jakarta had not yet had a significant impact on the arrival of people from the area.

"For flights there are still Batam flights to Jakarta or otherwise. Garuda is one flight, Lion is one flight and Citilink is one flight for now," he said.

The decrease was felt for flights due to Covid-19, Hang Nadim Batam Airport Director hopes this outbreak quickly ended so that flight activity could be normal again.
