Mayor of Tanjungpinang Syahrul Reportedly Died Cause by Covid-19

TRIBUNBATAM.id, TANJUNGPINANG - Mayor of Tanjungpinang, H Syahrul passed away on Tuesday (4/28/2020) afternoon.

"he has passed away to grace, our mayor  and my father syahrul at 16:43," said the message in WhatsApp of Independent Journalists Alliance (AJI) in Tanjungpinang City.

Spokesperson for Task Force on Covid-19 of Riau Islands Province, Tjetjep Yudiana confirmed this.

"Yes, he died," said Tjetjep.

Syahrul has been hospitalized for several days due to positive of Covid-19.

His condition is indeed up and down.

However, the latest information mentioned that Syahrul's condition had improved.

This news was delivered directly by Deputy Mayor of Tanjungpinang, Rahma.

She also hopes that Syahrul will recover from his illness soon after being tested positive for Covid-19 a few days ago.

"Alhamdulillah, Mr. Syahrul's condition continues to improve. Hopefully he will recover quickly and lead Tanjungpinang again," she said, Wednesday (4/22/2020).

Rahma expressed happiness mixed with emotion over the development of mayor whose condition continues to improve day by day.
