Director of BP Batam Hospital States Isolation Room Is Full, Accommodate 14 Covid-19 Patients

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - The availability of isolation space to accommodate Covid-19 patients at BP Batam Hospital is full.

BP Batam Hospital Director, Sigit Riyarto said, the full capacity of the isolation room after the hospital received one patient confirmed Covid-19.

"Currently we have 14 patients treated. That is, the number of patients and the room we have prepared is full," Sigit said when contacted on Sunday (4/26/2020).

He said, the addition of one positive patient of Corona virus from Batam City, was known to work as a police officer.

Sigit revealed, there should be no room for male patients in RSBP. There is, only to accommodate one female patient.

However, due to an urgent matter, one Covid-19 patient who was known to have been taken to Covid-19 Infection Special Hospital on Galang Island, was finally referred to BP Batam Hospital.

"That's why our medical team took the initiative so that one positive patient can be accommodated," he explained.

Even though it was stated to be full, Batam Hospital said he still received Patients Under Supervision (PDP).
