The Spread of Covid-19 in Batam, Kadinkes Said Batam Center Becomes New Epicenter

TRIBUNBATAM.id - Had sloped, the spread of Covid-19 in Batam City was again worrying.

Not without reason, in a day, there were 4 patients who were confirmed positive for Covid-19. This news was known yesterday, Monday (05/04/2020), after the Batam Covid-19 Task Force Team released data on the development of Covid-19.

The four patients consisted of two female patients and two male patients with different professions. Responding to this, the Head of the Batam City Health Office (Kadinkes), Didi Kusmarjadi also commented.

He said, at this time, Batam Center became a new epicenter area. This is because the Covid-19 case in this area is relatively large. 

He also suggested that the application of district-level restrictions be carried out. 

Recorded in the latest data as of May 4, 2020, there were 55 Patients Under Supervision (PDP) and 19 people confirmed positive for Covid-19 in Batam City District.

Meanwhile, data on the distribution of Covid-19 in each district as of 4 May 2020 is as follows:

Batuampar District there are 10 PDP people, Belakangpadang District 2 PDP people, and Sekupang District 19 PDP people and 7 positive Covid-19 confirmed.

Meanwhile, Batuaji District as many as 37 people with PDP status and 1 positive confirmed Covid-19. Sagulung Sub-district 31 people with PDP status and 1 positive Covid-19 status. 

Bulang District has only 1 PDP status, Sei Beduk District has 14 PDP people and 2 people have been confirmed to be positive with Covid-19, and Bengkong District has 21 people with PDP and 2 with positive for Covid-19.

Lubukbaja sub-district as many as 32 people PDP and positive Covid-19 as many as 2 people. And Nongsa District as many as 15 people with PDP status. So far, only the Galang Subdistrict was found by no citizen with PDP status or confirmed positive by Covid-19. (Tribunbatam.id/Ichwan Nur Fadillah)
