26 KM Kelud Crew Recovers from Coronavirus, Had Been Cared at Covid-19 Special Infection Hospital

TRIBUNBATAM.id - A total of 40 KM Kelud crew are undergoing treatment at the Covid-19 Special Infection Hospital (RSKI) on Galang Island, Riau Islands. 

However, until now, Monday (05/04/2020), as many as 26 crew members have been declared cured and negative from the coronavirus or Covid-19. 

Meanwhile, 14 other crew members are currently undergoing a process of recovery and are waiting for the results of the swab inspection. 

According to the statement from the Head of Corporate Secretary of PT Pelni (Persero), Yahya Kuncoro, on Monday (04/05/2020) his party was waiting for the results of the second swab test for 14 crew members who were still in the hospital.

Meanwhile, in the first swab test after undergoing treatment, the results were negative Covid-19.

If the second swab test is also negative, the 14 crew will be declared cured. 

According to Yahya, management continues to monitor the healthy development of all crew members, especially those who currently undergoing treatment. 

Yahya said, after recovery from the crew, Pelni management also provided assistance to the Covid-19 Special Infection Hospital on Galang Island. 

The assistance was in the form of 75 blankets. 

Pelni, as a State-Owned Enterprise which operates in the field of sea transportation, has currently operated as many as 26 passenger ships and stopped at 83 ports, and served 1,100 sections. (*)
