The Mayor of Batam, HM Rudi Asks Officers to Act Decisively All Forms of Crowd in Batam

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The Head of Batam City Covid-19 Handling Task Force Team, Muhammad Rudi, ordered to take firm action against all forms of the crowd in Batam City. These efforts are to accelerate the completion of the handling of Covid-19 in Batam City.

Rudi explained, he was targeting H-2 Eid later, all Covid-19 cases in Batam could be completed, and there were no additional new cases with increased social restrictions. 

However, Rudi also reminded that the actions carried out jointly with the TNI / Polri remained just persuasive. There should be no physical conflict between the officer and the community. 

In the same place, the head of the Batam City Daily Covid-19 Task Force Acceleration Team, Amsakar Achmad said, in the future, the TNI and Polri would be optimized to deal with stubborn communities. Because they are indeed more respected.

Even though there was no physical impact, Amsakar claimed that officers could disperse the crowd with other actions. 

The Mayor of Batam, Muhammad Rudi, requested that Batam citizens obey the rules of physical distancing, wearing masks, and even delaying pray activities involving crowds of people. 

In addition to appeals to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the government is now also intensifying social restrictions and conducting sweeping, especially in 5 districts in Batam which called the 'red zone'.
