Healed from Covid-19, Patients in Karimun Still Monitored 2 Days at the Hospital

TRIBUNBATAM.id, KARIMUN - Covid-19 patient in Karimun who was declared cured on Saturday (05/09/2020) was not immediately discharged.

Head of Karimun District Health Department, Rachmadi said patients 03 will still be monitored for two days at Muhammad Sani Regional General Hospital (RSUD).

However, the patient from Karimun, male and around 50 years old, was no longer placed in isolation, but was transferred to the usual treatment room.

"Usually it is monitored first for two days. Then it is allowed to go home," Rachmadi said.

After returning from the hospital, patient 03 also still had to undergo a period of independent isolation for 14 days at his home.

After that, Karimun Health Department will issue a certificate of recovery, if needed by the patient.

"If a patient needs it, maybe to be able to come to work again, then we will give it," Rachmadi said.

With the recovery of patient 03, there is currently only one Covid-19 patient in Karimun who is still undergoing treatment, that is, patient 05.

The condition of the patient from Karimun, female and aged around 15 years is currently stable.

"Yesterday's swab test results were still positive. But we have sent three more swabs to the laboratory. The results have not yet come out," Rachmadi said.

Previously, news of Patient 03's recovery was received by Task Force for Acceleration of Covid-19 Countermeasures on Saturday (05/09/2020) afternoon.

Patients included in the family cluster were declared cured after the laboratory results stated negative twice in a row. (ayf)
