Sharing during Ramadhan, BNI Batam Distributed Grocery Packages to Citizens through Batam Government

The holy month of Ramadan 1441 Hijri feels more special. In fasting this time Muslims are really being tested by the coronavirus outbreak.

BNI Batam distributed a total of 650 food packages to help affected residents of Covid-19. 500 of them were delivered through the Batam City Government, and 150 packages were distributed directly by BNI to the public 

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The holy month of Ramadan 1441 Hijri feels more special. In fasting this time Muslims are really being tested by the coronavirus outbreak.

So, in this condition, making this year's holy month very valuable for all parties to take action to share and care for people around who are experiencing health or economic difficulties, in order to get unlimited blessings.

On this occasion, BNI took the initiative to organize a 'BNI Shares' program to help the poor and affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. 

BNI Shares is held simultaneously throughout the fasting month throughout Indonesia with the spirit of Ramadan for Indonesia. The main activities are Distribution of Food Packages, Distribution of Takjil, and Orphanage Assistance. 

In the Food Package Distribution program, BNI provides around 5,000 food packages, distributed in at least 13 cities and districts in Riau Islands, Riau and West Sumatra Provinces that are spread across 13 operational areas of the company.

The total supply of basic food packages distributed was Rp. 750,000,000 in kind.

The Batam area unit, BNI has distributed a total of 650 food packages, of which 500 packages through the Batam City Government, and 150 packages distributed directly by BNI to the people of Batam City. 

The Takjil Distribution Program has also been held at BNI Batam

This program seeks to help small and medium-sized businesses (UKM) around the BNI service office so that their businesses continue to survive. 

The snacks for breaking the fast shared by BNI were purchased from UKM, so it is expected to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on their businesses.

Takjil distributions were distributed free of charge by setting the queue distance, according to the physical distancing protocol. (*)
