Jokowi Instructs the New Normal Socialization Massively, What about Batam?

TRIBUNBATAM.id - President Joko Widodo asked his staff to conduct large-scale socialization about the New Normal or the new normal order in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. 

"I ask the protocol to adapt to the New Normal order that has been prepared by the Ministry of Health to be disseminated massively to the public," Jokowi said when chairing a limited cabinet meeting via video conference on Wednesday (5/27/2020).  

Jokowi said massive socialization will make people better understand what to do when doing activities outside the home. 

For example, ranging from keeping a distance, wearing masks, washing hands, to the matter of a crowd ban. 

This is to avoid transmission of the coronavirus or Covid-19.

"If this socialization can really be done massively, I am sure the curve can really be reduced. And we have seen this in several provinces we can work on," Jokowi said. 

Meanwhile, according to Jokowi, the government will place TNI and Polri personnel in public places.

This is to ensure that people follow the health protocol in preventing the spread of Covid-19.

For now, troop titles are carried out in 4 provinces and 25 districts/cities.

However, according to Jokowi, the number of regions implementing new normal will increase later.

The new normal application is done so that people can remain productive but safe from Covid-19. (*)
