TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Massive socialization about health protocols became the main point for discussion of Evaluation Meeting by Task Force of Coordination Covid-19 Riau Islands Handling, Tuesday (06/16/2020).
Led by Head of Riau Islands Task Force, Isdianto asked the team to regularly provide understanding to the public in the hope that New Normal phase would not increase the spread of Covid-19 positive cases .
"Give understanding to the community, appeal to each other and remind with hope that New Normal does not increase the spread of Covid-19," said Isdianto at a meeting that took place in Main Meeting Room, Floor IV, Governor's Office, Dompak, Tanjungpinang.
He explained health protocols must be in line with individual personal discipline.
Therefore, New Normal phase is related to the ability of a person's life to coexist with Covid-19.
"Ways to overcome them already exist, it is just how we are able to discipline our lives for New Normal patterns supported by socialization," he continued.

He added that the existence of Covid-19 was also a reminder, that this pandemic made the economic disparity in society even more.
For this reason, Isdianto asked his staff to be sensitive to their surroundings.
"We do not want economic inequality to continue to expand, so it is hoped that we can be sensitive to seeing the circumstances around us," he said.
Meanwhile Secretary of North Sumatra Province, TS Arif Fadillah, said that the development of Covid-19 case in Riau Islands had a downward trend.
But the New Normal phase has positive and negative effects.
He was worried that New Normal phase would make people think of conditions as if they were back to normal.
"For this reason, team work is needed to succeed in the implementation of New Normal phase," Arif said.
Acting Head of Riau Islands Health Office, Tjetjep Yudiana, explained that the cumulative data showed a positive decrease in confirmed cases.
Except in Batam, he said there were still positive cases.
