Boss of Garuda Indonesia Ready to Fired Pilots who's being Arrested Regarding of Drug Abuse Cases

TRIBUNBATAM.id - PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk opened its voice about the arrest of two state-owned airline pilots related to drug abuse cases.

Garuda Indonesia's Managing Director, Irfan Setiaputra said, at this time his party was conducting further searches related to the capture of the two pilots.

He also emphasized that his party did not tolerate all employees who were found to be abusing drugs. 

"And will apply strict sanctions, in the form of termination of employment," he said in a written statement, Saturday (07/11/2020).

Furthermore, Irfan ensured, his party conducts drug checks to all employees on a regular basis, as an effort to prevent abuse in the work environment.

"As well as to ensure the safety and comfort of Garuda Indonesia service users," said Irfan. 

Previously reported, the South Jakarta Police Narcotics Unit arrested four users of methamphetamine with the initials S, IP, DC, and DSK on Monday (6/7/2020) at 18:00 WIB. 

South Jakarta Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Budi Sartono said, his party secures evidence in the form of a package of methamphetamine weighing 4 grams, one packet of methamphetamine 0.96 grams, a suction device methamphetamine, scales, matches, and plastic clips.

"We have already secured as many as four people. S is a private employee. The other three people are pilots with airlines in Indonesia, "Budi said during a press conference in Jakarta, Friday (07/10/2020). (*)
