Prevent Covid-19, Barbershop in Batam Holds Rapid Test for Employees, Here's The Result

One Barbershop in Batam, Sir Salon held a Rapid Test for its employees on (7/9). The Rapid Test examination aims to prevent Covid-19 transmission.

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - One Barbershop in Batam, Sir Salon held a Rapid Test for its employees on Thursday (07/09/2020).

The Rapid Test examination aims to prevent Covid-19 transmission.

According to Sir Salon owner, Andry Sie, this effort was at the same time to support Batam City Government since 'New Normal' phase was applied.

"This is also a step so that customers do not worry," Andry told TribunBatam.

The Rapid Test itself is carried out in one of the branches in Batam Center.

According to him, similar activities will also be carried out in almost all Sir Salon branches in Batam.

In total there are 28 employees in all branches. For each branch, continued Andry, filled with approximately 5 to 6 employees.

"Possibly, we will hold a routine (Rapid Test)," he added.

In addition to holding a Rapid Test, Sir Salon himself also equips his employees with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as masks, hand sanitizers, and face shields.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Andry admitted, his salon income had dropped quite dramatically.

"Before New Normal, it was around 80 percent. Now it's only down 50 percent," he said again.

He also hoped that Covid-19 pandemic in Batam would soon be over so that the economy in Batam would return to life.

The results of Rapid Tests showed that 5 employees examined were declared non-reactive Covid-19.
