2.508 Businesses in Batam Closed During Covid-19 Pandemic, Mostly in Culinary
During Covid-19, Batam City's Department of Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises ( Diskum) noted that there were 81,000 micro businesses get affected.
TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - During Covid-19, Batam City's Department of Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises ( Diskum) noted that there were 81,000 micro businesses affected.
This was conveyed by Head of Empowerment and Development Division in Diskum Batam City, Zulfikar when met at Diskum office, Batam City, Monday (7/20/2020).
He said, that number was data that was inputted from the Online Single Submission (OSS) which was under the guidance of the Diskum.
"Almost all businesses feel the impact, there are 2508 micro businesses that feel significant impacts until it closes," he said.
He also said, based on the data that had been inputted by his side until mid-July, there were 2508 micro businesses that had been totally closed.
"That number is only 6 districts, 6 more districts are still being collected," he said.

Zulfikar said that micro businesses which are more dominant are now more involved in the culinary business community.
"Nearly 60 percent of Batam people's microbusiness data is dominated by culinary, snacks and drinks.
While crafts and other works are few, "he said.
