Hang Nadim International Airport Builds Platform for Logistics and Cargo Plane

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Hang Nadim International Airport built a taxiway and apron 04 starting on Thursday (07/30/2020). 

Director of Batam Airport and TIK Business Entity, Suwarso said the taxiway was intended for cargo aircraft that would land at Hang Nadim International Airport.

"In this development process we are working with PT Nindya Karya as a provider of construction services and PT Yodya Karya as a supervision consultant," Suwarso said at Hang Nadim Airport on Thursday.

The project will take 158 days to complete and is expected to be completed by December 31, 2020.

The cargo apron to be built is 500 x 150 meters.

This development will cost Rp 155 billion, using the State Budget funds for the 2020 Budget Year.

"For the scope of the process, we will start by opening an access road for vehicle mobilization, then proceed with landfilling at the apron location, marking work, building drainage, landscapes, to electricity," Suwarso said. 

He hopes that this work can be completed on time and produce good quality facilities.

Suwarso also guarantees the Hang Nadim International Airport is open if there are things that must be coordinated and if there are technical obstacles in the field.

Meanwhile, General Manager of PT Nindya Karya, Alif Usman Amin said, he was committed to carrying out the construction well and according to the contract, safe and secure until the end of the project.

"In addition to cooperation, hopefully, the quality and implementation will go according to plan," said Alif. (*)
