UPDATE: Adding 2,040, a Total of 108,376 Cases of Covid-19 in Indonesia

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The number of positive cases confirmed coronavirus or Covid-19 is still growing. Based on data compiled until Friday (7/31/2020) at 12.00 West Indonesia Time, there were an additional 2,040 Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

The addition caused a total of 108,376 cases of Covid-19 in the country, starting from the announcement of the first patient on March 2, 2020.

The addition of this number was obtained from the examination of 28,562 specimens in the last 24 hours. 

This information was conveyed by the Covid-19 Handling Task Force through the https://covid19.go.id/ website accessed by Kompas.com on Friday afternoon.

Based on the same data, there were additional 1,615 patients who were cured of Covid-19.

They were declared cured after two tests using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method which showed negative coronavirus results. 

That way, the total number of Covid-19 patients who recovered and is no longer infected with the coronavirus until now there are 65,907 people. 

Then, in the period 30-31 July 2020, there were 73 additional Covid-19 patients who died within a day.

Thus, the total number of patients dying from Covid-19 reached 5,131 people. 

The following is data on the distribution of new cases of Covid-19 in 26 provinces as of 31 July 2020:

1. DKI Jakarta: 430 new cases

2. East Java: 317 new cases

3. Central Java: 235 new cases

4. South Kalimantan: 128 new cases
