TRIBUNBATAM.id - Ad-interim Director of Occupational Health and Sports of the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes), Kartini Rustandi reminded the public about how to wear masks properly and correctly according to health protocols.
The mask should be worn over the nose, mouth to chin.
"(Wearing) a good mask is to cover the nose and mouth and up to the chin. Don't put it on the chin, then we raise it again. That's not good either," said Kartini in an online talkshow with the Covid-19 Handling Task Force which aired on the BNPB YouTube channel, Tuesday (25/8/2020).
Kartini realized that the public had to be reminded about wearing masks even though the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia had been going on for more than five months.
The reason is, the campaign to wear masks is not enough to just invite people to wear masks.
"Again, not only wearing a mask, but wearing a mask that is good and correct. Because, masks are often used only to cover the mouth," said Kartini.
"That means we have to get used to the discipline of wearing masks properly and correctly. It must be reminded about the importance of wearing masks again and again," he continued.
According to her, various health protocols, whether at home, working, traveling, exercising, shopping and so on are easy to learn and apply in everyday life. (*)
