Because the number of passengers going to Tanjung Balai is also decreasing.
Usually before the pandemic there were hundreds of passengers, but now only tens of people.
"For now, the work is just relaxed," said Heni to Tribun Batam.
Prospective passengers are also required to show a rapid test letter from the hospital or clinic. If not, the passenger will not be dispatched.
However, during Covid-19 period, the departure schedule was forced to reduce only 3 times a day, namely, 09.00 WIB, 15.00 WIB, and last Ferry at 17.00 WIB.
"We have reduced our schedule, but we still have fewer passengers, even though we think there is only one fleet operating in Harbour Bay, namely Oceana," he said.
From the observation of TribunBatam in the field, it was seen that the situation at the port was quiet. Only a few shops were open. Passengers were also seen only 10-20 people sitting on the seats.
