Had Soared, The Number of Passengers at Batam's Hang Nadim Airport Dropped Again

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - As a result of Covid-19 Pandemic, flight conditions for both arrivals and departures at Batam's Hang Nadim Airport decreased drastically.

Even though the government has implemented a New Normal or a new life order, it has not been able to have a significant impact on flights at Batam's Hang Nadim Airport

The number of flights on normal days before Covid-19 Pandemic usually reached 6,000 to 7,000 per day.

Now when New Normal only ranges from 2,500 to 4,000.

Director of Airport and Telecommunication Information Communication, Suwarso on Saturday (5/9/2020) said that although the number of departures and arrivals had reached 4,000, it was only momentum.

"There has been no significant increase so far," he said.

For the beginning of September, it seems that there has been no significant increase.

On the departure on September 1, there were 26 flights carrying 2687 people while on arrival carrying 2,650 people with a total of 26 flights.

On September 2, 2020 for departure there were 27 flights carrying 2,893 people while on departure there were also 27 flights carrying 2,993 people.

And on September 3, 2020 there were 25 flights on departure with 2963 people and on arrival with 2,886 with the same number of flights.

Cargo for Hang Nadim Airport in Batam has not experienced a significant increase after the Ministry of Finance's regulation some time ago.
