UPDATE Covid-19 in Riau Islands: 1.217 Patients, Mostly in Batam, Anambas Record Zero Cases

Covid-19 in Riau Islands continues to increase. 15 new Covid-19 patients, 9 cases came from Batam, Tanjungpinang 5 cases, and 1 case in research.

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - The case of Corona virus or Covid-19 pandemic in Riau Islands continues to increase.

Reporting from corona.kepriprov.go.id as of September 6, 2020, there were 15 additional new cases.

15 confirmed Covid-19 patients, 9 cases came from Batam, Tanjungpinang 5 cases, and 1 case in research.

The additional 15 corona patients brought Covid-19 cases in Riau Islands to 1,217 cases.

From the data of Riau Islands Covid-19 task force on Sunday (6/9/2020), 663 of these patients were declared cured (discarded) with a percentage of 54.5 percent.

Meanwhile, the number of confirmations who have undergone treatment reached 510 people or 41.9 percent.

Then as many as 44 people confirmed death or 3.6 percent.

Batam is the area with the most cases of the spread of Covid-19 in the Riau Islands.

It was recorded that 771 Batam residents were exposed to Covid-19 until Sunday (6/9/2020).

Following Tanjungpinang in the second position most Covid-19 spread in Riau Islands.

Currently there are 247 residents of Tanjungpinang confirmed by Corona virus.

Meanwhile, Anambas is the only area that has recorded zero Covid-19 cases.

As of Sunday (6/9/2020), no Covid-19 cases have been found in Anambas.
