TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - The number of patients with private employee backgrounds dominates the number of Covid-19 cases in Batam.
As of September 17, 2020, the number of private employees exposed to Covid-19 reached 286 cases. Meanwhile, the current accumulated number of Covid-19 cases in Batam totals 1089.
Seeing this phenomenon, Deputy Mayor of Batam, Amsakar Achmad, appealed to business actors to continue to strictly implement health protocols in their business environment.
This health protocol is in the form of tools and facilities, as well as a work system that supports the prevention of the spread of Corona virus. Amsakar gave an example, several companies have implemented a work from home (WFH) system, especially for employees who have close contact with suspected Covid-19.
"Like in my son's company. I just returned from out of town, he was told to work at home, and I was obliged to take a swab test," said Amsakar, telling of his child's experience as an employee in a company.
Amsakar appreciated the effort to create the WFH system. Because it can cut the spread of the Corona virus in the workplace environment.

He called it a 'sophisticated' work management during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Private employees are also encouraged to contribute to these prevention efforts by always complying with the health protocols applicable in their companies.
In addition, for a number of private employees whose colleagues have been exposed to Covid-19, Amsakar appealed to always be transparent in undergoing examinations.
In fact, according to him, a cooperative attitude is needed in the process of tracing close contacts for private employees whose colleagues have been exposed to Covid-19.
"It requires cooperation from employees in the company, no need to close off information. If necessary, come and check directly at the health center," said Amsakar.
