UPDATE September 24: New Covid-19 Cases in 31 Provinces, DKI Jakarta is still the Highest

The government updated the information on the development of the daily Covid-19 cases on Thursday (9/24/2020).

TRIBUNBATAM.id - The government updated the information on the development of the daily Covid-19 cases on Thursday (9/24/2020). 

Based on data shared by the Covid-19 Handling Task Force on Thursday afternoon, 4,634 patients were confirmed positive for Covid-19

The data starts at 12.00 WIB, Wednesday (23/9/2020) until 12.00 WIB on Thursday. 

Accumulatively, there are 262,022 positive cases of Covid-19 in Indonesia to date. 

The number of additions was obtained from the results of examining 42,564 specimens in the last 24 hours. 

Based on this data, new cases of patients with positive confirmation of Covid-19 are spread across 34 provinces. 

From this data, there were five provinces with the highest addition of new cases. 

The five provinces are DKI Jakarta (1,044 new cases), West Java (804 new cases), Central Java (434 new cases), East Java (343 new cases), and West Sumatra (302 new cases). 

Then, the same data also records three provinces that did not experience the addition of new cases, namely Maluku, West Papua and Gorontalo. 

Meanwhile, the overall transmission of Covid-19 has so far occurred in 494 districts/cities in 34 provinces.

The government also noted an additional 3,895 patients who had recovered. 

Thus, the total number of patients recovered from Covid-19 was 191,853 people. 

In addition, there are 128 additional patients who died after previously tested positive for the coronavirus, so that the number of patients who have died due to Covid-19 to date is 10,105 people. 

The following is data on the distribution of new Covid-19 cases in 31 provinces until September 24, 2020:
