Mukakuning Batam Dormitory Cluster Adds 56 People, Dominated by Female Workers

As many as 73 Batam residents tested positive for Covid-19. 56 of them have their address at the Mukakuning Dormitory area.

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - As many as 73 Batam residents again tested positive for Covid-19 after undergoing a swab test.

This was known after Batam Covid-19 Task Force Team released an additional positive patient on Wednesday (23/9/2020).

Of the 73 people, 56 of them have their address at the Mukakuning Dormitory area, Batam City.

Of these 56 people, it is also known that female workers dominate the employee cluster exposed to Covid-19.

In total, there are 54 female workers and two male workers from the employee cluster of this Mukakuning Dormitory.

On average, transmission to workers is also known due to close contact in their workplace.

So far, Batam Covid-19 Task Force Team noted that positive patients with Covid-19 in treatment were dominated by female residents of Batam.

From the graphic of the development of Covid-19, it is known that 374 people are female and 308 are male.

The addition of patients from the Mukakuning Dormitory cluster also increased the total (cumulative) number of patients confirmed positive for Covid-19 in Batam to 1,430 people.

Of that number, 705 people managed to recover and 43 people died.
