TRIBUNBATAM.id -  The Batam branch of the Indonesian National Shipping Office (Pelni) in Tanjung Pinggir, Sekupang, Batam City, Riau Islands Province looks different.

There were dozens of residents lining up right at the Pelni office yard. 

They visited the office starting from the parking lot to the ticket window for the KM Kelud ticket.

Based on TribunBatam.id observation, some of them had to go home because they could not get a queue number. 

Meanwhile, other residents were still sitting waiting in the waiting room, the ticket counter looked full.

Ticket counter service officer, Armin said, today there is an increase in ticket purchases.

Armin said, shipping in October has increased.

There are 12 ship schedules issued by Pelni

"Yes, since morning, the queue numbers we provide have run out.

There are 3 ships, KM Kelud, KM Bukit Raya and KM Umsini with 12 trips, "he said.
