UPDATE October 11: Covid-19 Cases in Indonesia Now Reaches 333,449

TRIBUNBATAM.id  - Covid-19 cases in Indonesia are still increasing.

Government data on Sunday (11/10/2020) at 12.00 WIB, there were 4,497 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

The addition has brought the current total of Covid-19 cases to 333,449 people, starting from the announcement of the first case on March 2, 2020. 

This information was conveyed by the Covid-19 Handling Task Force through data received by journalists on Sunday afternoon. 

Data can also be accessed by the public via the covid19.go.id and kemkes.go.id sites, with updates appearing every afternoon. 

The patient recovered and died

Even though the data shows that cases are increasing, the government is raising hope by revealing that more Covid-19 patients are recovering.

In a day, there were an additional 3,546 Covid-19 patients who recovered after being declared no longer infected with the corona virus.

They were declared cured based on examination with the polymerase chain reaction method which showed negative results.

Thus, the total number of recovered patients is now 255,027 since the beginning of the pandemic. 

However, sad news still appears with the addition of Covid-19 patients who have died.

In the period 10 to 11 October 2020, an increase of 79 Covid-19 patients who died.

Thus, the death rate due to Covid-19 in Indonesia has now reached 11,844 people.

In addition to positive cases, the government also shows that today there are 152,286 data on suspects.
