"I think this is good news and I await the next steps prepared by the two countries to restore the tourism sector," he said

Ilham said that if it will be opened for tourism later, he also asked that supervision at the entrance must be tightened because it is still in the middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic.

"But it must still be done carefully and in accordance with agreed health protocols and other regulations, in order to recover the economic and tourism sectors that can benefit both countries," he said.

Ilham said that tourism actors have actually prepared the return of foreign tourists by improving services according to standard health protocols in the new normal era.

Meanwhile, the General Manager of Batam View Beach Resort, Anddy Fong is also in line with the Montigo Resort Manager.

Anddy welcomed the plan to open access to Indonesia Singapore.

"All the opening of access to Batam from Singapore has made great progress for us, even though we are still limited by visas and others related to the Covid-19 protocol," he said.

Anddy said the border opening was good news.

"This is a good access opening, hopefully it can revive tourism which is currently sluggish," he said. (TribunBatam.id)
