TRIBUNBATAM.id - Spokesperson for the Covid-19 Handling Task Force, Prof. Wiku Adisasmito, said that the development of Covid-19 handling in Indonesia showed significant results in the number of recoveries of Covid-19 patients.

Wiku reported that as of October 13, 2020, there were 4,777 cases that had recovered. 

The latest Ministry of Health data states that there are 65,299 active cases or 19.2% compared to the world average of 21.9%. 

The cumulative number of cured cases was 263,296 or 77.3% where the world average of cured cases was 75.1%.

In cases of death, 12,027 or 3.5% compared to the world average of 2.85%. Meanwhile, the addition of positive cases was 3,906 cases. 

"The rate of recovery has increased by 4.4%. We appreciate the province that continues to improve its recovery," he said, quoted from the BNPB Indonesia YouTube channel, Wednesday (14/10/2020). 

In terms of weekly developments, Wiku confirmed, there are 5 provinces with the highest increase in recovery. 

Among them, West Java: Up 2,055 (1,276 -> 3,331), West Sumatra: Up 466 (756 -> 1,222), Riau Islands: Up 379 (167 -> 546), Central Java: Up 324 (1,435 -> 1,759) and East Kalimantan: Up 190 (1,021 -> 1,221).  

For areas with the highest percentage of recovery were in North Maluku (89.23%), Gorontalo (88.63%), North Kalimantan (88.06%), South Kalimantan (87.12%) and East Java (86.18%).  

Development of Covid-19 death cases this week continued to decline to 9.9% from the previous week.

However, this week, attention is focused on 5 provinces with the highest increase in mortality, namely DKI Jakarta (65), Central Java (7), Riau Islands (4), Central Kalimantan (3) and Central Sulawesi (2). 

However, the development of positive cases of Covid-19 on a weekly basis increased by 5.9%.

This week, the 5 provinces with the highest increase in cases were Central Java (499), West Java (383), West Papua (314), South Sulawesi (277) and Southeast Sulawesi (204). 

Then, looking at the risk zoning map on a weekly basis, it shows the red zone (high) the distribution of the area has decreased from 54 to 53, the orange zone (medium) has increased from 307 to 336, the yellow zone (low) has decreased from 121 to 100.
