3 Ports and 16 Hotels in Batam Ready to Support Indonesia and Singapore on 26 October 2020

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Head of Batam City Port Health Office, dr Achmad Farchanny, said that three international ports in Batam City are ready to support the policies of Indonesia and Singapore on October 26, 2020.

Foreign nationals who enter will have their body temperature checked according to Task Force Team Circular Number 9 of 2020.

If necessary, an oxygen saturation check will be carried out and other physical examinations.

According to him, the implementation of health protocols is not something new in the port area.

"Since March we have implemented the protocol. We are still examining specimens.

After taking swab samples, they will undergo quarantine in the place provided by the government while the results of the examination are out, "he said, Monday (19/10/2020).

Regarding the quarantine location for incoming foreigners, his party has coordinated with PHRI Batam City and the Health Office.

According to him, there are 16 hotels that have met the requirements as quarantine accommodation based on the recommendation of PHRI Batam City.

This number tends to increase from the number of hotels he mentioned earlier, namely nine hotels.

Not only the KKP, PHRI is one of the authorities in managing foreigners who enter Batam after the opening of the Indonesia and Singapore routes.

The Head of PHRI Batam City, M Mansyur also prepared several things ahead of the opening of the cooperation route.

"Everything must be prepared because from that preparation in the future it will create a brand image through the hotels they will occupy.

For that, we must really look after our guests in accordance with the agreement between the two countries, "he explained.
